How We Sell Your Boat

At Saviour Marine, our brokerage process is deliberately simple, transparent and hands-on.

No volume sales. No inflated promises. Just proper representation from start to finish.

1. Initial Conversation

We start with an informal conversation about:

  • Your boat

  • Its condition and history

  • Current market value

  • Whether brokerage is the right option

If we don’t feel we’re the right fit, we’ll tell you honestly.

2. Assessment & Pricing

We assess the boat based on:

  • Condition and specification

  • Market demand

  • Comparable sales

  • Presentation and location

Pricing is realistic and market-led, agreed with you before we proceed.

3. Brokerage Agreement

Once agreed, we put a clear brokerage agreement in place covering:

  • Asking price

  • Commission

  • Brokerage period

  • How viewings and enquiries are handled

Everything is set out upfront. No grey areas.

4. Preparation & Presentation (If Needed)

Most boats remain with their owners during the sales process.

Where it helps the sale, we can advise on:

  • Cleaning and presentation

  • Minor repairs or improvements

  • Whether yard storage would be beneficial

Any preparation work is agreed separately.

5. Photography & Video

Every brokerage boat is:

  • Properly photographed

  • Professionally filmed by us

  • Presented honestly and clearly

The video is shared across:

  • Our website

  • Social media

  • YouTube

This helps buyers understand the boat before viewing and attracts more serious enquiries.

6. Marketing & Enquiries

We handle:

  • Listings

  • Buyer enquiries

  • Initial conversations

  • Filtering time-wasters

You stay informed throughout, without being involved in every message.

7. Viewings

Viewings are:

  • By appointment only

  • Managed professionally

  • Arranged at the boat’s current location or our yard (if applicable)

Depending on the boat and situation, viewings may be attended directly by us or coordinated with the owner.

8. Offers & Negotiation

All offers are:

  • Presented clearly

  • Discussed honestly

  • Negotiated with your approval

We focus on achievable outcomes, not chasing unrealistic prices.

9. Sale & Completion

Once agreed, we assist with:

  • Deposits (if applicable)

  • Buyer liaison

  • Handover arrangements

Ownership and insurance remain with you until completion, and the process is kept clear for both parties.

10. After the Sale

Where needed, we can assist with:

  • Lift-out or haul-out

  • Storage

  • Post-sale repairs or preparation

Because we’re a working yard, support doesn’t stop when the sale completes.

A Straightforward Process, Done Properly

Our brokerage process is designed for local owners, small to mid-sized boats, and people who value clear communication and practical experience over sales talk.
