Boat Brokerage

Saviour Marine

Small Boats. Local Owners. Properly Handled.

At Saviour Marine, we specialise in small to mid-sized boats for local owners who want a straightforward, honest sale — handled properly from start to finish.

We’re an independent, owner-run marine business based in Christchurch.

Every boat we broker is personally handled by Saviour, not passed between sales staff or offices.

Boat brokerage is a recent addition to our services, built on decades of hands-on marine experience rather than high-volume sales. It’s intentionally small and focused, ensuring every boat receives proper attention, realistic pricing advice and clear communication throughout.

Most boats remain with their owners during the sales process, allowing flexible viewings and keeping costs and disruption to a minimum. Where it genuinely benefits the sale, we can also hold a limited number of boats at our yard by arrangement.

Every brokerage boat is professionally filmed by us and shared across our website, social channels and YouTube, giving buyers a clear, honest view of the boat before they ever step onboard.

No pressure.

No inflated promises.

Just proper local brokerage, done well.

Brokerage FAQs

Do I need to move my boat to your yard?

No.

Most boats we broker remain with their owners during the sales process — whether that’s on a mooring, trailer, marina berth or at home.

Where it genuinely benefits the sale, we can also hold a limited number of boats at our yard by arrangement.

Who handles the sale of my boat?

Every boat is personally handled by Saviour, the owner of Saviour Marine.

There are no sales teams, no call centres and no handovers — just direct, clear communication throughout.

How do you market the boats?

Each boat is:

  • Photographed properly

  • Filmed by us with a clear, honest video walkthrough

  • Listed on our website

  • Shared across our social channels and YouTube

This helps buyers understand the boat before viewing and often reduces time-wasting enquiries.

Do you specialise in certain boats?

Yes.

We focus on small to mid-sized boats and specialist craft we understand and can confidently represent.

If a boat isn’t right for our brokerage, we’ll say so honestly.

How much does brokerage cost?

Commission is agreed upfront and depends on the size and value of the boat.

There are:

  • No listing fees

  • No hidden charges

  • No pressure to discount

Everything is clear before we start.

Do you guarantee the condition of the boat?

No.

Saviour Marine acts as agent only.

Boats are sold as seen, and buyers are strongly encouraged to obtain an independent survey or inspection.

Who arranges viewings?

All viewings are by appointment and managed by us.

Depending on the boat and location, we may attend viewings directly or coordinate with the owner to ensure the process stays professional and controlled.

Can you help prepare my boat for sale?

Yes, if required.

We can advise on — or arrange — cleaning, presentation, minor repairs or lift-out work to help the boat show at its best.

Any preparation work is agreed separately.

What if now isn’t the right time to sell?

We’ll tell you.

Honest advice is part of our service, even if that means waiting or choosing a different route.

How do I get started?

Just get in touch for an informal conversation.

We’ll talk through:

  • Your boat

  • Current market value

  • The best way to sell

  • Whether brokerage is the right option

No pressure, no obligation.
