Storage & Repair Policy
Saviour Watersports (trading name of AA Fibreglass Ltd)
Last updated: 17 June 2026
This policy governs boat storage, equipment storage, van storage and board/boat repair services provided by Saviour Watersports at Little Avon Marina, Christchurch, Dorset. By storing your craft or equipment with us, or by booking a repair, you agree to the terms below. This policy is separate from The SUP Store Ltd's Terms of Service and applies specifically to storage and repair customers.
1. Storage Fees & Billing
- Dry berth storage runs annually from April to April, with a minimum term of 12 months
- Storage for smaller craft under 4m is billed monthly, with a minimum term of 6 months
- Fees are due in advance of the storage period they cover
- We reserve the right to amend storage rates with reasonable notice ahead of your next renewal
2. Cancellations & Refunds
- Storage fees are non-refundable
- Dry berth storage (12 months, April to April) and monthly storage for craft under 4m (6-month minimum term) must be paid in full for the agreed term, regardless of early collection or cancellation
- After the minimum term has been completed, storage continues on a rolling basis until you give us notice, but no refund is given for any part-used period
3. Launching & Slipway Rules
- We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to launch a boat from dry berth
- Launch timing depends on tides and the size of your craft, and may not always be possible within your requested window
- No launching is available at weekends, except in an emergency
- Any craft launched on a Friday will remain moored until the following Monday, unless other arrangements have been made in advance
- We allow a maximum of two launches per week per craft
- We will supply identification tags for your craft, which must remain securely attached at all times
- It is your responsibility to moor your craft properly along the slip shed after use. We accept no liability for damage caused during this process, and any resulting damage will be charged at our prevailing rate
- Trailers must be in good working order at the time of launch. We may refuse to launch a craft if the trailer is not roadworthy or safe to use
- If you request a launch but fail to make use of it, this will count as one strike. After three strikes, we reserve the right to terminate your storage agreement without refund
- We will always try to arrange stored craft so you are not blocked in, but on occasion you may need to move another customer's boat using ropes only, with care, to access your own. You must not move another boat by any other means
4. Vessel Movement by Us
- We reserve the right to move any craft within our premises at our discretion, for reasons of safety, security, operational need, or emergency, including at the request of harbour authorities or emergency services
- We will take reasonable care when doing so, but are not liable for any resulting damage unless caused by our negligence
5. Insurance & Liability
- You are responsible for insuring your own craft, trailer and equipment while in our storage. We do not provide insurance cover for your property
- We carry our own liability insurance covering damage that we directly cause to your craft or equipment through our actions
- We are not liable for damage caused by weather, including storms, flooding, frost or other extreme conditions, while your craft is in storage
- You must moor, store or secure your craft correctly. We accept no liability for damage resulting from incorrect mooring or storage by you, although we will check on craft where reasonably possible as part of our general yard upkeep
6. Reporting Damage
- Any damage you notice to your craft or equipment must be reported to us within 72 hours of you becoming aware of it
- Damage reported outside this window may not be eligible for investigation or resolution on our part
7. Yard & Site Rules
- No work is to be carried out on your craft while in our storage, other than minor running repairs or routine maintenance, without our prior consent. We will not unreasonably withhold consent for specialist or warranty work
- No cutting, gutting or preparing fish anywhere in our yard or on the slipway
- Please remove your own rubbish and take it home with you. Do not leave waste in the yard
- No parking is permitted in the yard at any time. We will supply a trolley to help move equipment to and from your vehicle
- You must use the pay and display car park for your vehicle while visiting the yard
8. Unpaid Fees, Lien & Abandoned Craft
- If storage fees remain unpaid, we reserve the right to detain your craft or equipment until the outstanding balance is paid in full, and to charge our standard daily rate for each day the balance remains outstanding
- This right of detention applies regardless of whether your storage agreement has otherwise ended or expired
- If storage fees remain unpaid and we are unable to reach you for a continuous period of 30 days, we reserve the right to treat the craft or equipment as abandoned
- This includes storage paid by monthly subscription. If a subscription payment fails or lapses and we are unable to reach you for a continuous period of 30 days, the craft will be treated as abandoned under this clause
- Where a craft is treated as abandoned under this clause, we may sell or dispose of it to recover unpaid fees, in accordance with our rights under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977, after having made reasonable attempts to contact you using the details we hold
- We will always try to contact you by phone, email and any other details on file before treating anything as abandoned
9. Selling or Transferring a Stored Craft
- If you sell or transfer ownership of a craft that is in storage with us, you must notify us before the transfer takes place
- Storage arrangements and fees do not automatically transfer to a new owner. The new owner must set up their own storage agreement with us
- We are not responsible for any dispute between you and a buyer regarding a craft still held in our storage
10. Repairs
- Repair quotes are estimates based on the information and inspection available at the time, and may be subject to change if further damage is found once work begins
- We will contact you before carrying out any work beyond the original quote
- Repaired items must be collected within a reasonable time of completion. Storage fees may apply to repaired items left uncollected for an extended period
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage or wear not directly related to the repair carried out
11. General
- This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of our storage or repair services means you accept the most recent version
- This policy is governed by the laws of England & Wales
